Questions
What does Humblebrag actually do?
It reads numbers you already have — steps, distance, calories, flights climbed from Apple Health, plus dates you type in like a birthday or an anniversary — and tells you what they equal. 1,240 km becomes "you ran the length of Italy". Every comparison links to the source it came from.
Where do the comparisons come from?
They are researched and sourced by hand, not generated. Each one carries a link to where its number came from, which is why there are 120 published on this site rather than an infinite supply. If a comparison cannot be sourced, it does not ship.
Does my health data leave my phone?
No. Apple Health data, the names and dates you enter, and every line the app writes about them stay on the device. There is no account and no server holding them.
Do I need an Apple Watch?
No. iPhone counts steps, distance and flights on its own. A Watch adds heart-based data and makes the counts more accurate, but nothing requires one.
What does it cost?
$29.99 a year or $5.99 a month, US pricing; your local price is shown in the app before you buy. Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the period ends.
Is it available yet?
Not yet. It is in development for iPhone. You can leave your email on this site and you will hear the day it reaches the App Store.
Can I suggest a comparison?
Yes, and they get used. There is a form in the footer of every page. A source link is required — that is the whole standard the app is built on.
